Michael Holigan's "Your New House"
In November 2000 the
HV1000 made its debut on the Discovery Channel on Michael Holigan’s
"Your New House" program. We were invited to attend
the filming and consult as necessary. Read the story below for details!
 During one of
the hottest extended periods on record in Dallas, the HV1000 was installed in the ceiling of Teresa Garrett’s house. The filming started early in the morning when it was just
in the eighties and a gentle breeze was blowing through the backyard.
Teresa invited the audience to follow her into the house and watch how simple it is to install a fan that could bring in a cooling air flow.
She demonstrated how to site the fan, cut a template to ease installation, cut the ceiling and install the fan.
Since the fan took the place of an existing light fixture in a hallway, she was able to use the existing wiring to connect it. The system
also included a remote control that she used to control it.
The filming session was extremely professionally done from Teresa to the director, cameraman and soundman. Despite the heat of the day,
Teresa managed to repeat and modify her lines and improve the delivery.
One hundred plus degree days in Dallas are not the best situation for the HV1000. But the program aired on the Discovery Channel across the country.

HomeTime
In
January 2003, Dean Johnson called to tell us that he was interested in our
product and asked if we would we be willing to send an
HV1000-DB to him for review. Within two weeks we were informed that
HomeTime wanted to add our product to a segment on "Finishing an Attic" which
was scheduled to air January 18, 2003. Episodes S219-S224 ran from 1/18-1/22/03.
This syndicate program re-runs these segments periodically.
